Manuel G. Bedia

Manuel G. BediaMy research interests are focused on the development of dynamical models of cognitive systems. In relation to decision sciences, I seek to develop formal theories of decision-making built from principles of embodied cognition and situatedness. Furthermore, I am interested in models that capture the universality and robustness of mechanisms of adaptation to uncertain environments in the organisms’ behaviour (ranging from protozoans to humans).

Discussion Topic: The framework based on the dynamical approach to the study of cognition, has it been completely assumed in research? Is it the most adequate candidate for the proper study of the mind in the post-cognitivism scenario; are there formal alternatives?

Occupation: I am currently Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Zaragoza (Spain).
